Tried to change the Network adapter setting from Network And Sharing center. So there's an error message popping everytime I tried to do so.ģ. That's too not possible because it can not even find the Realtek PCIe GBI controller. Tried updating new version of Realtek LAN driver. Wait! That's not possible because my entire Realtek PCIe GBI controller is missing and NIC has no right click options under device manager.Ģ. Trying to uninstall/install or disable/enable network adapter. No Realtek PCie GBE Family Controller there, a familiar nightmare for me nowadays.ġ. And if I expand it further there are all those WAN miniports but no Realtek PCie GBE Family Controller. Then I check right side More Actions > View > Show Hidden Devices, and there I find the Network adapter but upon right clicking there is no options available. I go to the device manager and there I see 'Network Adapter' is entirely missing there.

The problem is my Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is completely out of my control. After reading so many posts and trying all those fixes, which didn't work, I'm posting my problem here and hoping that some expert here may have a concrete solution for my weird NIC disappearing issue. Ps this may not work for everyone but I found it the solution I have used now for 5 years and it works for me every time I had this issues or come across it.Hi! newbie here. I tested it to see if I could browse the internet then rebooted the computer then test the connection again just to be sure then turned back on the window defender tamper protection and random folder protection then again test the connection before creating Then once everything load I checked to see if the ip address stayed the same and the network sharing was on then I setup the network ip back to auto closed it off then connected it to the modem via the same cable I was using to see if it detected the connection. Then close the screen set the network sharing to discover the network and rebooted the computer

Then I restarted my computer booted to the desktop waited 45 minutes then restarted the computer booted to the desktop then I shut it down installed the network card then booted up the computer did not install any software disk just let windows install its Next unless its the onboard network card I removed my network card from the computer Next I locate the registry keys for my network card deleted them all including the tcp keys. What I did was Uninstalled the software first and then the network card itself from Windows device manager then deleted the folder where the software was installed (suggest if you have anti-virus program to turn such features completely off until you manually turn them on) Ok I had this issue with my network card I did not bother with the diagnostic testing.įirst thing I did was turn off windows defender tamper protection and random folder protection So I decided to restart, and after restarting The LEDs in the Ethernet port were working, but it didn't show anything in my network connections. But the next day after re-installing Windows 10, my ethernet connection didn't show up. After re-installing, all the apps that didnt connected to the internet started working
